Just wondering what you all do to store your guns (handguns or otherwise): hard case, soft case, sock over your gun or not, material (leather, eggshell crate stuff, fleece, etc).

Also, anybody ever made a wood case for their gun? If so, what did you use for padding/protection?

I have made some wooden racks that set on the shelves of my gun safe for my revolvers & single shots. They stand in these racks with no cover.
