Either caliber will do what you want done. Choose the one that appeals most to you.

44s have become quite commonplace while 45 Colts (heavy loaded) still provide some differentiation. More "snob appeal" with the 45, but the 44 still does a good job & IMHO with a wider selection of projectiles.

It's more important where you hit 'em, than what you hit 'em with.
