I dont think you will regret the trade. I hunted a Contender in 30-30 from Fox Ridge that was as accurate as any rifle I have ever owned. Plenty of power for 150-175yrds. Mine would shoot 3.5 inches at 150yrds with Winchester 150gr HP factory ammo.
