My personal experience is that I have never owned a Ruger that was as accurate as my FA revolvers (and I have owned many Rugers). I expect that many will dispute this based upon their experience --- but that is my experience.

I also own a M97 in 45 Colt. It is my favorite "packing gun." Small, light and with a big hole in the bbl. However, if you have not had any experience with a M97, you should handle and shoot one before you buy. I love them (all three of mine), but they do not fit everyone.


It's more important where you hit 'em, than what you hit 'em with.
