I started in the late 60's with a H&R .22 revolver shooting chipmunks. Next, I moved up to squirrels. By the early 70's I had a Colt trooper .357 quickly followed by a Ruger Blackhawk .44 mag. The .44 got me into deer hunting thinking the .357 was kinda light. From there I got into contenders, 14" 30-30, >357 Herret, and a 45-70 made by SSK and I had to try all of them on deer. After that my attention turned to mainly revolvers that I enjoy immensely till today.
