The black boar was apparently a fighter.

He was missing his left eye which was just a healed over empty socket. On top of that, his left leg had apparently been broken at some point. While his ankle could bend, his elbow was fused straight. Couldn't bend forward or anything. Which, is why he is propped up like you see in the picture. He essentially has a straight peg-leg.
