I want to add a 480 Ruger to the stable, but prefer a single action, I don't necessarily care for a bisley grip, and most custom revolvers are simply out of my budget. That leaves me with few choices. My question is this: Would shooting 480 Ruger 99% of the time in the 475 BFR hurt anything? I know the "crud ring" would need to be cleaned from the cylinder after each range session, but would the 480 provide an acceptable level of accuracy in the 475 cylinder? I'm sure someone will ask "why not just shoot 475?" . The answer is I can't shoot absurdly recoiling guns for any amount of time and actually enjoy it. My right elbow and both hands are worn out from too many years of turning wrenches for a living. There's nothing wrong with my 44, but we all know that need has nothing to do with gettin a new shootin iron!
