The hardest recoiling revolvers I currently own are my .500 JRH Bisley and my .500 Maximum. Fortunately the quality custom grips mitigate much of the negative effects. My .500 JRH BFR is stout as well, but to a lesser extent than the other two. That said, both of those revolvers loaded to spec pale next to my .50 Alaskan revolver- that I no longer own. That thing was a four -pound rodeo.
