Don't shoot a Herrett, but am loading 30-30 and 7-30 waters and am really liking some of the new Barnes bullets designed for the slower AR platforms in 308 and 458 calibers. I'm playing with the 7-30 now and wondering about the AR-comp powder if anyone has any experience. Quickloads suggests I will gain about 100 fps with no pressure increase over RL 7. They also say it has minimum temp sensitivity. I shot my RL7 45-70 hunting load over a chrono at 15f and found it was over 150 fps slower then summer temps. I'm going to pick some up tomorrow to play with.

Ps. Bill, have you tried the 110 and 120 gun black tipped Tac-Tx barns bullets?
