s4s4u the fit and finish are quite good. I've owned several blued Ruger revolvers over the years and this one is the nicest finished one I've had. The wood inserts on the grips are real nice. The cylinder is the same length as the 357 Mag version but it's a little wider, not by much, but slightly. Cylinder lock up is nice and tight.

The 5" barrel balances quite well. The hole at the end of the barrel is a lot larger though!
