One of the locals here in Idaho shot one yesterday with his sixgun, then he got down & walked over to the bait while the bear ran off. Him & a friend started tracking it & it attacked him & worked him over pretty good, he finally got it killed but they had to life flight him out of there to the hospital in Boise.
