Heres another little project I done to help me in the woods. I just wish I had thought of it before the last weekend of season.

I started with some 1" steel flat bar 1/8" thick. I heated it with a torch so it would bend more easily and cleanly.

This is a "lip" to lay on top of the climber for the screw to go through.

I then used the vise base to bend the "U" in it.

Heat and bend some more:

The front one to hold the barrel was identical in "U" size to the rear, just shorter.

Round off the edges for a little cleanup.

I then coated them in about 4 coats of this "plasti-dip". You get it at lowes or probably most any hardware store. I have used it on alot of my outdoor stuff and it holds up pretty well. It keeps a "rubber like" finish also.

Then I layered the insides of the "U's" with some camo moleskin for silence.

Here it is all set up:

Even holds the Encore pistol too:

Maybe this will help someone.
