Hello. My name is Jason. I go by Wojo and I am new to the handgun hunting world. I am a traditional bowhunter and I was looking to extend my possibilities for meat. I have nothing against rifle, I just like challenges and always liked revolvers. I am going to give handgun hunting a try this gun season here in PA. I am taking my Dan Wesson 15-2 8? barreled 357 out. I keep reading and some people are not a fan of 357 for Whitetail, but its what I have and am a decent shout out to 45 yards. Considering I am a trad bow guy, 45 is far! I have never killed an animal past 15yards and never with a firearm. So, I will see how I do!
I have been practicing and at 45 yards, I can keep my group to 5? with open sites. Any thoughts? I was hoping to get a scope put on it, but opening day is monday and I ran out of time!
Anyway, Any advise you can give a newbie would be greatly appritated! I have been reading the forums for a few days now and just registered!
