I got one turkey with the handgun, but the second one I shot got away. Bummed about that.
Just got a new G2 Contender set up in 22lr for the tree rats too.
Really want to take a black Bear this year. I?m a bit gun poor right now and will have to figure if it?s doable on the cheap.
I am looking into doing the same, and saw some ole boys pullin out a nice black bear from the Rapidan WMA (
Link ), they were using dogs though. I was thinking about a camping/hunting trip there, and try to get ahead of the dogs. Primitive camping with easy access to a trout stream. Just need to get away and do some scouting.
