I have a Ruger Blackhawk .44 Special. I am pretty sure that I have a barrel constriction in the thread/forcing cone area. It is causing some leading in that area of the bore.

I know it can be fire-lapped out, but I lack the time, experience and inclination to do it myself. Plus fire-lapping may take some serious time as S/S Ruger barrels are notoriously tough, so I've been told.

Who would you men recommend to throat it or remove the constriction themselves? I dearly love this revolver, so I want it done right.

Thanks,

SG
