I got to shoot the Max a bit this week in Wyoming. I was shooting a 525gr LFNGC hardcast at 1350fps using 1680. The round is very accurate and will abuse the shooter a little bit. I shot steel out to 300 yards and the round and gun will do it?s job if the shooter does his. I even took 2 shots at the 1000 yard steel Buffalo. Missed high by 15-20 feet on the mound behind it. 4-5 cylinders were as much as I wanted to shoot in a day. I ended the day with this firearm and should have shot it maybe second after warming up. Between shooting over 120 rounds of heavy 45LC, full house 454 Casull, and heavy 500L; my grip and nerves were failing by the time I pulled out the Max. I rode 75 miles on my bicycle several days before and had a pinched nerve effecting the strength of my support hand. Highlight of the day was shooting a fellow Big Bore shooters 45-120 Sharps at the 1000 yd Buffalo.
