Since you have a 444 for hhnting i would go with a Ruger GP 100 in 357 mag with a 6 inch barrel. Stainless if you can find one used. I have had one for about 20 years. My second choice would be a Ruger Redhawk in 44 mag with a 5.5 barrel. I have one that I have taken several deer with and love the gun.
