I'm a big fan of the Ruger Bisley, but in stock form it's a recipe for a busted middle knuckle on your shooting hand. Custom grips mitigate the problem. That said, BFR's Bisley is fantastic. No smashed knuckles, great control and it doesn't beat you up. The plow-handle on the BFR is a painful experience in the heavy kicking calibers (my first two .500 JRHs were downright painful to shoot with the factory Micarta grips.
