It's funny how you can read all these statements about what won't work on the internet, you try it and find that often what won't work, works great.

I'd read WFN's can't shoot accurately below 1200 fps, and I'm sure the internet would say a .480 can't stabalize a 460 gr bullet. Yet in my 480 SRH I was getting 1" groups at 50 yds with a 460 gr WFN crossing the chrono at 1050 fps. I sent some of them to a fellow 480 shooter who loaded them up to 1100 fps in his 480 and took them to the linebaugh seminar in ~2004. In the penetration tests he got 38" penetration in wet newsprint (bullet on the left) and 12" of newsprint and 2+" of bone (bullet on the right)



He did say when he tested at extended ranges they started to fly wild at about 175 yds. Still, not bad for something the experts say won't work. Bullets were cast from straight ww's and dropped from the mold into a 5 gal bucket full of water to quench.
