I have literally lost count of kills with cast bullets in the 240 to 260 weight range at velocities from 800 to 1000 in the 45 Colt and the 44 Special.It just works. Shot placement and open the tailgate. I stopped a charging hog with a 240 gr cast bullet going under 900fps from a Charter bull-dog.
