Well, I did a little more research and figured out that the Blackhawk in question has a fixed front sight, not one of the pinned ones that's more easily removed. So, I guess we can disregard this question.
Why? Just get a gunsmith involved. This is something that should be really easy for a smith to handle and inexpensive as well.
The thing is, the revolvers in question are my late granddads, and I just don?t know how to feel about doing major alterations. That?s why I put a no drill Weigand on the 41.
