I shoot a 385 grain Hornady Great Plains bullet from my 50 caliber CVA Optima V2 muzzle loader pistol that is hollow point and hollow base. Powder charge is 90 grains of Blackhorn 209 powder. Very similar to a 500 Linebaugh. How is that an oxymoron to shoot a bullet designed for average sized game animals?

Elmer Kieth considered the SWC bullet design to be one of the most efficient designs for anything in the lower 48 states.
