My local dealer still has a couple in stock. He flooded the local market with the 243 version that came in before the 6.5's.

An Evolution Gun Works Scope Base is an improvement to the basic Scout. The factory Triggers have been very good on everyone of them I have handled. Probably on par with an Encore or G2 with a trigger job. They are Encore tough.
I have a Scout in 357 Maximum as well as the Optima V2 muzzle loader pistol. Both are shooters. Our Club Secretary and his son both have the 243 version of the Scout. Both of them drive tacks. The only negative is the cheap plastic grip and forend they come with.
