Yesterday I went to the range with several loads to test in my new SBH. Although I tested several each of both jacketed and cast, I was primarily focused on cast since this is going with me on my elk hunt. This particular load is a 250 grain WFNGC pushed by 20 grains of 110. Below max but still fairly warm. I did not take my chronograph though. I hate messing with that thing.

Anyway, the target below has two 2-shot groups. The lower right was first. I then made a slight adjustment to the red dot and fired the two directly above the bullseye. This was only 50 yards but definitely off to a good start.

I?m seriously thinking of starting with this combination first on my elk hunt and use my PC 460 as my backup or ?later in the hunt? gun.

The meat won't fry if the lead don't fly.
