Here's one you don't hear about every day. Everybody said, "Buy a used Leupold M8-X2, it can handle ANY recoil." So I did. Not 20 rounds thru my 445 Super Mag and the left/right turret just falls off. (Came unscrewed apparently). I'm hoping Leupold will honor their lifetime warranty, but even if they do it won't be in time for my cow elk hunt that starts in two weeks. That leaves me with either a 30-30 Ackley Improved with a 140gr Hornaday monoflex @ 2300fps, or a rifle. To say I'm more than a little disappointed would be a gross understatement. What do you think? Is the 30-30AI enough for say 150yds max on a cow elk?
