But take everything with a grain of salt! Trust but verify and cross reference potential loads and velocities between multiple manuals when at all possible and BE SAFE!
I've got 5 or 6 full reloading manuals along many cartridge specific compendiums and several gun specific (TC Contender) compendiums.
Many manufacturers will have online sources of data for their powers or their bullets. These may be updated more frequently if we are lucky.

If you really get into reloading, a chronograph is a great tool that lets you compare expected results to actual results as another safety check. QuickLoad is another useful tool if you really want to get into it.

In the end, every gun is a little different from every other one and results will always vary. A safe load in one gun may not be a safe load in another gun.
