to make your shooting sticks tree stand friendly you can put practice plastic golf balls on the bottom of your stick legs and slide it up about an inch from bottom.hot melt glue or duct tape will keep them in place. put the feet back on or leave them off with the spikes showing. they will settle into the expanded metal tree stand base. if you tether one shooting stick leg loosely to your leg, body or the stand,you wont have to go back down and pick them up. mine have left the tree stand without permission several times before i started tying them in.
