I've had some crazy stories in the past. This one is a whopper.
I was approached by some local football coaches about getting rid of groundhogs at the local HS football field. Seems the were digging holes under the concession satands, bleachers, and edges of the field. They wanted a "professional" to take care of it. I guess my reputation preceded me. I told the it was in city limits and would be tricky. They persisted.
I went to the Board of Ed. super, city police chief, and mayor. They knew me and gave me permission especially after I told them I'd be using my Quiet Gun.
A coach gave me a tour. They especially wanted rid of one under the visitor's concession stand.

It's the red building. I set up at the black pole with the time clock on top at 6 PM.
At 7PM the 'hog came out from the far right corner, crawled under the chain link fence and entered the field at the 40 yd. line. He then rushed toward me and finally stopped just across the goal line. I was tracking him with my Quiet Gun on my Bog Pod and PSR. I couldn't believe it. A 38 gr. HP Rem. subsonic ended a crazy set up.
I couldn't resist this photo

I let him count the touchdown, but penalied him entering the field illegally, being offsides (from the 5 groundhogs I was watching behind my back when he was running), and being apes..t crazy. The penalty was obviously DEATH. Imposed right then.
After this I went in the bleachers behind me and took 4 more from 35 to 73 yds. Got 2 the following Sunday. They were spooked. I'll be back today.
What a crazy story, but that's the way it was.
(Looks like I need a little help getting the photos up)
