Coyotes are targets of opportunity for me. I hardly ever pass one up unless it shows up at the same time as the intended animal that I am really hunting. I just cant lay off of them. I used to spot and stalk and called fox and coyotes back in the 90's. only used a contender during that time frame -killed a bunch. they are certainly worthy adversaries if you are hunting them on purpose.
