I found some vintage bullets that are weighing in at 300 gr. Half Jacketed , plated base, but plenty of lead at the truncated nose. ( .412 diam.) So my question is about the safety of a load for a .41 Magnum , if you keep the powder level moderate & medium .
Will the .412 diameter hurt a TC/ Contender Barrel , providing the load is within proper pressure levels ? Thinking of using H 4227 & no more than 16.5 gr. Using a Med. crimp.

Is this possible, or something to completely avoid ?
