Vance, Ive always kept lots of H4895 around as I use it in MANY large capacity cartridges. Same with 2400 fir most of my revolver rounds.
When I have limited powder, I go thru reloading data, with the powder I do have, compare load data to listed powers, do a comparison (+15%, or -28%) start with the minimum load, and the percentage difference then work up a grain at a time, then shoot for accuracy. Takes time, and may not come up with anything as accurate as the original powder, but ya gotta do with watcha got
