I have run plenty of Speer 70 grain RN's through a lot of deer gizzards via a 12 twist 22-250 barrel...ain't had no complaints from any of them. Never found a bullet or even a piece of jacket material in the deer. Most of them DRT. The 70 grainer is not as long as some of the .22 cal. heavy weights and I did run the speed a bit slower and I think it kills deer about as well as the smaller 243/6mm rounds. I have a pro hunter 25 inch .223 Encore bbl with a 12 twist and it shoots 60 - 70 grainers quite well.
