Life is too short to ever wonder if the you bought the right one. LOL<LOL<LOL OK, I'll get serious. The 22 caliber is probably the better choice. The 22 mag really gives up nothing to the 17 HMR in MHO. I have also hear good to great reports about Hornady's new offering with the 30gr V-Max in 22WMR. The 22LR is cheap and easy to shoot. I have a Single Six and love it. The Single Six in 17 HMR is on my acquisition list but it's a ways down. NRA Life Member NEVER! Moon a Werewolf!!
