i had sumthin(mighta been a 357mag, i forget) with a flat crown. some of the older barrels had flat crowns. the factory super 14 6tcu(1986-1989)had what i'd call a "life saver" type crown...kinnda rounded like a donut. there are different type crowns on different age barrels. not sure how many different ones.
